2012_06_17_AR11504_WL

Today I decided to focus on AR11504. Well not difficult as it’s the only “interesting” area in a incredibly quiet (condidering that we are about 6 months from the cycle maximum) Sun.

I decided to use the Celestron Omni 120 XLT to try to take some image with a high focal length.

Here’s the white light one:

I’m quite satisfied of this image. Details are good and processing is also good. I always find some difficulties in balancing the processing process for white light images. This time I’m satisfied with the result.

I used the Herschel wedge and a Baader Continuum + Baader Neodymium filter.

The focal length was at about 3500mm.
